Refund, Cancellation and Dispute Policy

When we refund a purchase, how to ask for one, how long it takes, and how to raise a billing dispute with us before going to your bank.

1. What this policy covers

This policy applies to every purchase made on Dewiride Store from Dewiride Technologies Private Limited. It forms part of the Terms of Sale and Use.

We sell downloadable source code and nothing else. No physical goods are shipped, so there is nothing to return and no return postage to pay.

2. When we refund

We refund a purchase in full, within seven days of the order, if any of the following is true:

  • the download fails, or the files arrive corrupt or incomplete
  • the product is materially different from the description on its page
  • the product does not run as its documentation says it should, on the runtimes and versions named on the product page, and we cannot put it right

And we refund in full at any time, with no time limit, if:

  • you were charged twice for the same order
  • you were charged the wrong amount
  • the transaction was not authorised by you

An annual updates membership is refunded in full within seven days of the order, for any reason at all, while nothing the period covers has been downloaded. A release is not treated as downloaded merely because it appeared in your library. A period we charged automatically is refunded on the same terms, counted from the day of that charge.

3. When we do not refund

Once you have downloaded a product and it works as described, it is not refundable. A download cannot be returned: you keep the files whatever happens afterwards, so a change of mind after delivery is not a ground for a refund.

A membership period follows the same principle. Once you have downloaded a release it covers, the period is no longer refundable, because what it delivered cannot be returned. We may still choose to refund one, and we record the reason whenever we do.

We also cannot refund third-party costs you incur while using a product — cloud hosting, model or API usage, domain names, paid subscriptions — because we never receive that money.

If you are unsure whether a product fits your project, ask us before you buy. We would far rather answer a question than process a refund.

4. Cancelling an order

Because delivery is immediate, an order can only be cancelled before you have been given access to the files. If you paid and then changed your mind before downloading anything, write to us straight away and we will cancel and refund the order.

If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, section 11 of the Terms of Sale and Use explains how the fourteen-day right of withdrawal works for immediate digital delivery.

5. How to ask for a refund

Write to our billing address from the email address on the order, or use the form on the Contact page, and include:

  • your order or invoice number
  • the date and the amount
  • what went wrong, in as much detail as you can give — an error message or a screenshot helps us fix it faster
We acknowledge
within 1 business day
We decide
within 5 business days
We pay
within 5 to 10 business days of approving it, to the original payment method and in the original currency

We charge no fee for processing a refund. How long the money then takes to appear is up to your bank or card issuer; for most Indian cards and accounts it is five to seven business days after we send it.

6. Discounts and promotions

A discounted purchase is refunded at the price you actually paid, not at the list price. Promotional prices apply only to orders placed while the promotion is running and cannot be applied to an order placed before or after it.

7. What a refund does to your access

A refund ends your licence to the product refunded. Once the refund is approved, the product leaves your library and you must stop using the files and delete the copies you hold, as section 8 of the Source Code Licence sets out.

Refunding a membership period ends the cover that period gave: the releases it carried leave your library and your licence to them ends. Anything you bought separately, and anything another period of yours covers, is untouched. A refund also stops any further automatic renewal, so nothing is charged again unless you ask for it afresh.

If a refund is later reversed or fails, your access is restored automatically.

8. Billing disputes and chargebacks

Please write to us before raising a chargeback with your bank. We answer billing questions within one business day and settle almost all of them directly, which is far quicker than a chargeback and does not put your account at risk.

If you disagree with our decision, you can escalate to our grievance officer within 30 days. We acknowledge an escalation within 48 hours and resolve it within one month. The officer’s name, designation and contact details are on the Legal and business details page.

Where a chargeback is raised, we may suspend access to the product it relates to until the card issuer settles the dispute. If the dispute is settled in your favour, nothing further is owed; if it is settled in ours, your access is restored. Where the charge was for a membership period, it is that period’s cover that is suspended, and the releases it carried are held back with it. A chargeback on a membership also stops any further automatic renewal.

9. Changes to this policy

The version of this policy published when you placed your order is the version that applies to it.
